To enhance flue gas temperature regulation, a surface cooler is integrated into the smelting furnace exhaust system at the kiln outlet. The cooling flue operates via natural convection, extracting heat from high-temperature flue gas pipe walls. Simultaneously, the system assists in smoke and dust settlement.
The cooling flue follows an inverted U-shaped configuration, with an ash hopper positioned below. Flue gas inlet and outlet can be placed at the upper or lateral sections of the ash hopper. The number of cooling pipes in series and parallel is determined based on flue gas flow rate and site constraints.
